before & after. i decided that the living room with it's multi-angled walls needed a sofa that was ultra simple. sis spotted the 5 piece late 70s kroehler on craigslist and i instantly knew that it was too good to pass up. challenge...upholstery. something that i've never done. i have made slip covers. this project is a blend (with shortcuts on the upholstery side). progress has been slow--with much rework. fabric is linen/cotton (from mom's stash) so wrinkles will show. sis made the feather pillow to soften the otherwise modern shape. mom is coming on Friday--she thinks 3 days for one corner is too much! i'm hoping we'll whip out 2 more sections now that i've worked through the gotchas. without my sister's insight i would still be stitching section #1. thanks sis.
